“Local restaurant and Film location!”
Film location for the movie "Mystic Pizza". Welcome to Ford’s Lobster. We pride ourselves on using fresh locally sourced ingredients for all our dishes and strive to offer simple, wholesome food that the entire family will enjoy. The current site of Ford’s Lobster has been an integral part of Noank history since the turn of the century. The Haring Family first ran a small gas dock and bait and tackle in the mid 1950s, which continued until Orion Ford took over the business ownership in 1970. Orion added a retail lobster shack, which continues to this day. Upon Orion’s retirement in 2005, Kris took over operations, with every intention of keeping the original character and charm of the iconic lobster pound. Unfortunately, times had changed and sustaining a family on a few lobster sales was no longer possible. In 2010 Kris and Kerrie purchased a hot dog cart with their last bit of savings, crossed their fingers and hoped people would come by for a lobster roll. They did! Two years later the indoor dining room was designed and the rest, as they say, is history! We hope you have an opportunity to stop by! Serving not only seafood and your favorite lobster rolls, but NY Sirloin, pastas and innovative daily specials. Breakfast: Saturday and Sunday beginning at 7:00 AM. Take Out is always available.
