“filming location for Trains, Planes & Automobiles”
This is an external filming location for the feature film Trains, Planes & Automobiles with John Candy & Steve Martin. This is the hotel that they go to when the car is almost completely demolished & Steve Martin tries to give the clerk a burned, curled up credit card. It may look like a hole in the wall but it's exciting to see and stay at a place that was featured prominently in a major movie.
It has a different name now and isn’t a place where most travelers would stay, but it’s fun to see the setting of the movie!
I can say that I have stayed here... and they did not have to trash the place down for the movie; if anything, they cleaned it up a little before shooting. This place is a dump. Only reason for 3 stars - I love the movie
