This place is an unexpected gem! It's easily a quick stop (about 15 minutes from I-22), but if you have the time, the hiking is plentiful and the scenery is gorgeous! Grounds are very well kept and yes, it feels like you effortlessly dropped back into a vacation spot from the 1950s. Admission for adults was $3.50--totally worth it for us! The easy 100yd walk back to see the stunning natural bridge and the subsequent natural amphitheater beneath didn't disappoint. Our dog was thrilled that we stopped and so were we!
We loved this stop. We had our dog with us and he met a new friend there, a Jack Russell named Hoggie. The little dog lived there and led us on a tour, such a sweet dog and a beautiful park.
Lovely area, expect to spend about 2 hours hiking the natural paths through the woods and cool rock formations. The gate and main building make it feel like the 1950's (I love that feeling). Price is very fair.
