Fort Pillow State Historic Area

Fort Pillow State Historic Park is a 1,625 acre park located in Southwest Lauderdale County in West Tennessee. The park is home to Fort Pillow Battlefield which was the site of the Fort Pillow Massacre. The park is open 7am to Sunset, 7 days a week. The beautiful rustic campground at Fort Pillow Historic Park features 32 campsites designed primarily for tent camping. There are no electrical or water hookups, but water is available at water stations. Sites will accommodate small pop-ups, and RVs may park in front of sites, but the sites are not equipped for RV.  Each site has a grill or campfire pad, a picnic table, pea gravel for the tent, and a beautiful forest setting. The campsites are served by two bathhouses, one of which is handicap-accessible. There is also back-country camping available for those with permits at Blue Chickasaw Bluff Trail.
