Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on November 21, 2018We stayed at this park because the Mohave regional park in Apple Valley was closed and we needed a place nearby to stay. We had high hopes because it was on the lake, but unfortunately the RV park itself fell below expectations (though the rest of the park, ponds, and grounder were very nice). For the price, $37 per night, it seems like you should be getting more; The sites have water and electricity, both 30 a.m. up in 50 a.m., but there’s no sewer hook up. Oh, and no dumb station. The nearby lake his manufactured, in stocked with fish, which means there are lots of locals that come by to utilize it. The whole campground is gated and fenced, but the gate to get in has a keypad that routinely malfunctions, per the staff at the park, which is annoying but if you keep trying you’ll eventually get in. The bathrooms and shower facilities are straight up nasty, with graffiti at it in the plastic, and laminate falling off the walls. The park is also right beside a reasonably busy road, so don’t expect much peace and quiet. The bright side, there is a nice kids playground, and open green area under some shade of trees, which was nice for the kids to use. There’s also a camp store with basic amenities. Another bright note for us was the staff. They were extremely nice And very helpful. My advice, For the same price you could have full hook ups at a much nicer park at Desert Hollow RV resort just on the other side of the freeway.
