Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on July 13, 2020This was a great park. Red gravel drive and sites that were clean and level. Perfect grass throughout camp. Facility well cared for. Good cell coverage and good wifi. Creek on west edge of camp and Mickelson trail on east are real bonuses for staying here. Road was a little noisy but tolerable. 0.7 mile walk into downtown Hill City, cute town. Restaurants and shops, Pretty. 20 minutes to Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse.

Good central location to tons of things to do in Black Hills, SD. Hook ups/sites were good, resort peaceful, & bath house nice! Has basketball goal & small playground for kids. Only thing missing is a pool. Would stay here again!

I picked this campground based on the good reviews, and I do think it’s a great option for people who are looking to ATV/UTV. But, if you’re a young family like us, the nearby KOA is likely a better option. This campground is friendly but bare bones with very tight spots. The WiFi was also abysmal. It just wasn’t right for our family, but if you’re looking for easy access to off-roading, this is your spot!

We enjoyed our stay here, we would stay again. There was a minor glitch of them nit being aware of our reservation we had booked online, got that cleared up but fir future stays I think I will call to reserve. There is a 4x4 trail right out of camp- we didn’t have our SxS this trip but look forward to coming back to see what the trail has to offer. Definitely enjoyed walking the trail that’s right there.
