Attached to the beautiful Mendon Ponds Park, Wild Wings houses permanently injured birds of prey or "raptors" which are unable to survive on their own in the wild any more. We have a huge love for this place as it was the center in part that turned our family onto birds and birding. The Non-profit Bird Sanctuary is an incredible way for people to interact with Eagles, Owls and raptors of all types. Not to mention a Bobcat and a few other four legged creatures. The center houses a few resident birds and an otherwise rotating group of birds who are rescued from around the country. The largely volunteer staff are all incredibly helpful. The cost to get in is a donation to help support the center. A great place for bird enthusiasts, kids and anyone who wants to experience these incredible creatures up close!
