“a blast from the past”

Take yourself back to the days of the 20's, 30's, and 40's when mineral water, gambling, bootlegging, and other extreme pleasures brought visitors from all over the world to Hot Springs, Arkansas. The Gangster Museum of America is an historic and entertaining account of how some of the most notorious criminals in America co-existed with the quaint population of this little valley town in the mountains of central Arkansas. The audiovisual experience of the seven galleries is in itself worth the price of admission. Play in the antique casino and hear the historian in the museum theater relate who, what, when, and where stories that are fascinating, informative, and educational.

Great tour, knowledgeable guide. Groovy hat shop. Tip, get the coupon from the visitors center to save a couple bucks.

Knowing that gangsters came to hot springs was very interesting and surprising. The tour was really informative and entertaining. We went room to room and watched short videos and saw memorabilia.

The Gangster Museum of America is a fascinating and unique place in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The museum is dedicated to gangsters and high rollers who visited or called Hot Springs home during the 1920s and 1930s.

Exhibits include galleries of photos, artwork, and artifacts related to these infamous figures, as well as the New York Connection. This section tells how Hot Springs became a popular getaway for East Coast mobsters.

We think a visit here is one of the best things to do in Hot Springs, Arkansas!

Tour was ok, watched videos that the guide basically just reiterated. Some neat items throughout the tour. Items in the gift shop can easily be purchased from the Internet for far cheaper.

I thought the tour was interesting and informative. I would have liked to spend more time just looking at the items they had around. Would recommend if you have an interest in this time in history.
