“A variety of architecture in Hot Springs!”
A collection of historic bathhouses where people flocked in the early 20th century for therapeutic hot springs baths, located within Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas. Some are still operating as spas/bathhouses, others have been converted into other businesses- gift shops, etc. The Hot Springs National Park vistors' center is also located on Bathhouse row.
Absolutely beautiful historic district! I wish I could have stayed for a week. I had no idea there was so much history connected with Hot Springs. This city was integral to the development of "leisure time" & vacation culture in Victorian/Edwardian America. Also, a must-visit for any baseball fans or prohibition-era gangster aficionados.
Very clean and interesting place. Lots of renovations have happened and continue to happen. The Fordyce is the visitor center, no baths but museum. Buckstaff and The Arlington are operational bathhouse and hotels. Quapaw is operational bathhouse.

The area was very dirty. There was quite a bit of trash on the ground. This was not a very kid friendly area either. Our 7 year old did not like it. The Arkansas state parks were much better.

This is one of the most unusual places in Arkansas where you will find series a of bath houses that has amazing architecture. And also, it's recommended that you take a guide with you so that you will understand the place more.
