Cristiano Ristorante, Lounge & Wine Boutique is the collaboration of an adventurous twosome from the “Two Boots”.Cristiano was raised in the northwest region of Leguria, Italy, and Kelly Barker is a local girl from Houma, Louisiana. Although they each moved to New York City for the first time in 1985, they returned to their families and didn’t meet each other until they returned to the Big Apple in 1990.This cross-cultured couple was almost inseparable! They shared ideas, finesse, and creative style. Together they experienced Manhattan, hunted through flea markets at 5 a.m., designed a line of accessory apparel, and opened Cristiano’s first business: Café La Carezza, on lower 5th Avenue in New York.As destiny had it, Cristiano Ristorante opened its doors on High Street in Houma in the year 2000.With Kelly and Cristiano’s many out-of-country travels and their love of people, the food and ambiance of Cristiano’s restaurant are filled with ethnic treasures.
