“brewing is our passion”
This is how it started.... In 2002, a ten year home-brewing passion was ignited when Ron L. Fronk, Molly's step-father, taught Greg how to home-brew. The first beer they brewed was the base of what is now known as Tailgunner Gold. In the fall of 2003, Ron sadly passed away. He left his home-brewing equipment to Greg, which became the catalyst to a malt and hop love affair. Opening the brewery was a good ol' fashion case of having an American dream. Inspired by the American spirit and heroism of their grandparents, countrymen and woman and the pure love and joy of brewing craft beer, Greg and Molly's dream of American Sky Brewing Co. was born. They wanted to pay tribute to Greg's grandfathers who served in WWII and the Korean War as well as Molly's Grandfather who was a Tailgunner in WWII, current and past veterans and to craft brewers including Ron L. Fronk. Since opening in 2012, American Sky beers are sold and served in bottles and on draft in eleven western WI counties at liquor stores, bars, restaurants and at American Sky Brewing Co. taproom; The Hangar. In the spring of 2014 their distribution will expand into MN.
