Horseshoe Bend Campground is sheltered from the traffic noise of Highway 138 as it is situated on a bench adjacent to the North Umpqua River and shaded by an open stand of old-growth Douglas fir and sugar pine. A major launching point for whitewater boating is located near the gate entrance. A campground host is on duty. Facilities include a chlorinated water system, fireplaces, flush toilets, a gray water waste sump, and garbage containers.
