“The Legacy of Laughter!”
Since 1996, Lucy's hometown has welcomed visitors from all over the world to the Lucy Desi Center in the heart of downtown Jamestown, NY. Inside the doors, you'll find a warm salute to the First Couple of Comedy! Here, you'll see priceless costumes, awards, photographs, and other vintage memorabilia on display from the estates of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. Exhibits change periodically to guarantee a new and exciting experience for the repeat visitor.
It was a fun reminder of childhood from watching I Love Lucy reruns. It was also cool to get to learn a bunch of new and interesting things about Lucy and Desi. Cool little museum off the beaten path. But worth the trip if Lucy will give you the nostalgia feels.
This museum was pretty cool. A bit expensive for what you actually get from the tour but true Lucy lovers will enjoy it.
Absolutely a must stop for those who grew up with Lucille Ball. Lucy’s daughter insisted the divorced hubby (and Dad) Desi be included in the museum. Lucy was born in Jamestown and is buried there too. The National Comedy Center is also a block away. Named the nations best new tourist attraction by USA Today, the National Comedy Center is a high tech must stop while visiting. (Check for the Lucy combo ticket.)
Awesome place!!!
