“Everyone likes it fresh!”
Our small family farm offers farm fresh brown and green eggs, pasture raised poultry, jams and jellies, and traditional brick oven artisan breads made in our bake shop. All of our traditional artisan breads are made with only natural leaven and 100% organic and natural white and whole grain flour. Each loaf is hand crafted and baked in our brick oven. Both my husband and I mix and bake our dough every Friday to sell at the next day's Farmers' Market. The oven is fired and cranked up to 900 degrees and allowed to cool down to the proper baking temperature of around 550 degrees. Bread is ready for baking at around 9 pm. We continue feeding the oven with our breads (sometimes a dozen at a time, depending...) until all are baked. Usually we are done at around 1 am. The results--a beautiful crust and a flavorful soft crumb, yes and two very tired bakers! Our Home~Sweet~Home jams & jellies, made by myself and my very good friend Heather Jonker, are well known for that wonderful home-made taste. Each batch is made with only locally farm fresh and hand picked fruit. You can find us in the bake shop every Tuesday and smell the goodness of home or in the fields during the summer/fall harvest seasons picking fruit with our kids and enjoying the beautiful scenic views of Schoharie County.
