The Flatiron

Located directly above the Flatiron Café, the Flat is a cozy, picturesque slice of Jerome history. We don’t necessarily claim that it is haunted, but when it was first built in 1913 it housed a dentist’s office. Between your imagination and a good Stephen King novel, it could easily be haunted if you need it to be! The décor is coffee house funky/Jerome eclectic with tin ceilings and wooden floors. What a nice little getaway from the hustle and bustle of Phoenix. The Breakfast Burrito was very good, particularly the salsa and house spin on pico de gallo that came with it. I'm usually not a fan of a lot of egg being used in a breakfast burrito, but it was excellent and not overbearing at all. Bread pudding and coffee were very good as well. The across-the-street patio is unique and the small interior makes for a really homey feel. Owner and staff are friendly, funny and very welcoming. Simple and done right seem to be the ruling philosophy here
