“Middle Eastern food in Kalamazoo”
The Mandwee family traces their roots to the Middle East, where food and family are vital components of life. They immigrated to Michigan in the early 1980s and founded Tiffany’s Wine and Spirits, which grew into one of Kalamazoo’s favorite places for exceptional wine and international specialties. As customers grew to love these international selections, the brothers wanted to bring an authentic Middle Eastern restaurant to West Michigan and Zooroona was born. Zooroona in Arabic means “come visit us” – which is the vision of the Mandwee brothers. It is our longstanding presence and relationships in this community that inspired us to share our unique cuisine and culture. We want the greater community to feel welcome at Zooroona – sipping a cardamom tea, enjoying a wine from the Bekaa Valley, or tasting some of the most vibrant dishes of the Middle East region and North Africa.
