Very cool place. A lot to see staff is nice and friendly. You can go in some of the airplanes. They had a gift shop but did not have anything to buy. Not to sure why it was even open. Read more

A decent small museum with 3 well maintained aircraft (DC3, Martin 404, and Lockheed Constellation) in TWA livery, as well as an L1011 that they're going to be working on maintaining. Aside from that, they've got a 10min video that they have you sit and watch, then you can wandering into an artifact room, where you can see memorabilia from different ages of air travel. They won't let you into the hangar where the aircraft are without an escort to comply with FAA regs (not a problem for me), but their docent took his dear sweet time talking to the other couple that had shown up at the same time as I did. I was hoping to move along the tour a little faster than the guide did, but he couldn't catch a hint, and the people at the front desk were kind of aloof. While the guide had a vast amount of knowledge of the aircraft, it definitely feels like a hobbyist-level effort to keep the museum going. I think that it would be in their best interest to merge with the TWA Museum on the other side of the airport, as they actually have a lot of good TWA memorabilia, but no actual aircraft. Read more
