“hands down, the best BBQ in kansas city!”
This BBQ legend was founded in the early 1920's, by Charlie Bryant, Arthur's older brother. When Charlie died, Arthur took over and moved the BBQ restaurant to 18th and Brooklyn, just four blocks away from Municipal stadium, the home of the Kansas City Blues, followed by the Kansas City Athletics. Municipal Stadium was also the first home of the Kansas City Chiefs.
We were there around 230 and it wasn't very busy, in and out in about 30 min. The food was delicious! Serving sizes are very large.
I've heard lots of good things about Kansas City BBQ, and was certainly not let down by this place. The food was super delicious, and the service was very friendly. I had the ribs with a side of fries and it was off the hook!
Yum, Yum, Yum. They were our first stop on a KC BBQ Tour. So good...
this place is definitely good, but my favorite in Kansas City (and maybe the world) is still Oklahoma Joe's
Cool vibe and great history, but found the beef to be very dry and the burnt ends to be flavorful but overly sauced. Fries are soggy and under seasoned.
Awesome food-- my husband ALWAYS insists we eat here when we visit the area!
It was cool! Food was good.
