The Wild Animal Sanctuary currently operates with more than 9,793 acres of beautiful and natural habitat for its rescued animals to enjoy. Our animals come from horrific captive situations and are rescued and also rehabilitated so they can live and roam freely in large natural habitats with others of their own kind. The Wild Animal Sanctuary is a 9,793 acre sanctuary for more than 460 rescued animals. Our facilities represent the largest carnivore sanctuary in the world, and are designed and built like no others in existence. Everything about our two facilities are designed to ensure the animals' welfare remains top priority, even with the numerous modern comforts we provide our guests. We have pioneered both large acreage natural habitats for our animals to live in... and have built the World's longest elevated footbridge so you can visit and see the animals without putting pressure on them like all other zoo and sanctuary displays do. Really interesting place! Sad that sanctuaries like this are needed. They do a good job of educating visitors about the animals and the animals have a lot of room to roam and a number of enrichment opportunities.

Great park. Very cool to see so many predator animals in large several acre enclosures. A little bit pricey ($30 per adult) and it would be nice if the elevated walkway made a big loop so as too see more animals. However, it was still a very fascinating and enjoyable experience.
