“German Cuisine and American Favorites”
Gerhard Dillner came to the United States from his native Germany in 1954 seeking wider opportunities for himself and his young family. His dreams were built on skills as a chef; skills he had acquired since the age of fourteen when he became an apprentice in Kiel, Germany. Gerhard and his wife Ruth, saw their dreams become a reality when the House of Gerhard opened its doors in 1964 and rapidly earned a reputation for outstanding German-American Cuisine. Continuing the tradition begun by Gerhard and Ruth are their daughter and son-in-law Angie and Dick Rudin and their children Sabine and Kyle. The House of Gerhard offers wonderful food and service in an enchanting atmosphere filled with old world charm. From Schweine-Haxe to Filet Mignon, our menu features authentic German cuisine as well as American favorites. Our Famous Prime Rib of Beef is served daily and is truly the best around! The House of Gerhard makes every occasion one to remember - Birthdays, Anniversaries, Group Luncheons or get-togethers with family and friends. Join us for a truly wunderbar dining experience!
