Since we started RVing 10 years ago we have been staying at Boyd's at least once every year.. Never a bad moment and staff always goes out of their way to accommodate. Best thing is close to Key West, even take a city bus right outside the gate. This saves the parking hassle and gives a great Key West flavor to the ride. You get to see the other side of the island where the locals live. We found some great shops and restaurants that we would have missed if not for taking the bus.

This place is super nice. Pool was clean and cool in July. I booked an inland site to save some money, should have gone waterfront. They truly are a resort. They launch and pull your boat if you have one. Game room, laundry, clean shower houses. The staff is some of the most accommodating I have ever worked with. They are super organized and quick at check in, even on a holiday weekend. I rated 4 stars only because the sites are small. They are exactly the width of my slide out to my awning. I am bush to bush. The landscaping made backing in a bit of a hassle. It's tight! This is a top notch facility, luxury camping. However they do what many are doing and surcharge children at $5 each per night. I am sure this on is water related but I hate that my small children cost extra. Very close to Key West. If you have an RV do not plan on taking it site seeing in key west. You will need a taxi.

Stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of March 2015. The staff were absolutely wonderful! We added a night when we arrived and we had to change sites for that last night. When the time came to do so someone had parked their car in our tent site. The front desk staff were so willing to help and tracked down who the car belonged to and had them move it. It all took about 30 minutes to rectify. All of the facilities were great, just remember to bring shower shoes. We will definitely stay here again the next time we need a winter break!

After seeing Boyd’s on the travel channel we knew it was a must. It was our first RV stop in Key West and we splurged on a water front site (reserved 4 months in advance). Overall it was a nice place to stay and we enjoyed ourselves. It’s a high price to pay for close quarters and water front views.

We left our Airstream here while taking the ferry and camping out on the Dry Tortugas. We stayed here a night before to prep and then the night we got back (since the ferry doesn't get in until 5:30pm). Really grateful we were gone two of the days.

It is crowded, noisy and the spots are so close its ridiculous. I would never stay here again unless we absolutely had to. Its worth staying at one of the state parks and driving into Key West for the day, although we still aren't sure what the draw is. We aren't much fans of Key West. Too many crazy people on scooters, tourists, and the lines to eat dinner at the restaurants are ridiculously long anyway.

There are much better places to spend your time. The only plus was that we were able to do laundry since coi operated laundromats in the Keys are non existent.

We stayed here in late July 2015 and chose to stay here because of its proximity to Key West which is where we planned to spend time for 4 days. We liked that they had a boat dock on site but if we stayed here again we'd be pickier about our campsite if we're going to pay "premium" for water view. We have a 16' Airstream trailer and were right up against the docks / boat dock which was convenient for launching our kayak but it didn't really feel "waterfront." The campground was clean, lots of palm trees, but most sites don't have much shade. The bathrooms were clean and had big fans blowing for the hot summer heat. The pool and cabana area felt like a tropical oasis and we enjoyed the Jimmy Buffet tunes while we soaked in the water after the day's activities. Onsite there is a store with sundries and souvenirs. The pizza place Roostica down the road doesn't deliver but it's worth picking up and bringing back to camp - tasty! We brought our bikes and hauled them down to Key West to pedal around town which was easier than trying to drive/park and faster than walking.

We stayed here in December as it was the closest park that we could find to downtown Key West. We were able to bike from Boyd's to Mallory Square (6 miles each way), and it was a great little ride. This was also a great home base for us as we were gone three days to the Dry Tortugas and we needed a nearby place for our early morning departure. As mentioned in prior reviews, logistically it worked. The staff was very friendly. The park is safe and there is ample security, so we felt very safe. The sites are very small and tight, however it was peaceful and quiet while we were there. Be sure to check out Roostica pizza down the street for some amazing pie.

We've been (tent) camping here for several years now and would not consider staying elsewhere. The staff is great, facilities are clean and there is security on site. Boyd's is our home away from home whenever we visit Key West.

We stayed here early September, through the Labor Day weekend. This campground was selected months in advance, since we wanted a waterfront spot, and our plans were to spend much of our time in and around Key West. Per our plan, we did not stay at the campground throughout the day, but spent most of our time playing tourist in Key West. This was our basecamp; definitely would not stay here if hanging out all day. The spots are too small to enjoy.

Although this campground is tight, especially when it filled up over Labor Day, it was quiet during our stay. The staff is friendly. In fact, they assisted me in finding a welding repair shop to repair my toad tow rig. Also, when we arrived late,10:30PM, someone was there to check us in and guide us to our spot.

We did use the pool one late afternoon after the crowds were gone; was clean and a good way to cool off. We also enjoyed photographing the iguanas running around. The highlight for us each morning and evening was watching the sunrise and sunset; awesome color and views.
