Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center

I recently stayed here a few nights. I spent most of my free time exploring the huge glass dome covered atrium. And I do mean huge. As I initially walked through the threshold from the hotel lobby / hallway area into the atrium, I actually felt as if I was walking into another planet. Or, at least into some sort of separate Amazon jungle or rainforest realm. There were live alligators roaming around. I had not researched this place at all, so I was pleasantly surprised by this. It was impressive. I also spent a decent amount of time in the extremely large and nice pool / waterslide / hot tub area. Lastly, there was an actual full-sized replica sale boat within a lagoon transformed into dinner seating. All of these things were quite impressive. Huge place.

The amount of stuff the pack into the atriums at these Gaylord resorts is bind boggling. The one here might be a little less impressive than say Nashville, but that's only because you are right by Disney, so you're uh kinda de-sensitized to it all. But in any case it's worth checking out for the feat of it. Theres like jungles and lakes, a ship, a town. All sorts of stuff all under a giant glass dome.
