Confirmed by 9 users | Last reported on December 29, 2023The won't stay again is really because of the lack of usable Internet or cellular. Also we passed a much nicer location just 1/2 mi before that was right on the river and had more RVs that move (i.e. not full of full time residents).
We arrived and without a reservation got a nice spot right away. Check in was a breeze. We are a 30' fifth wheel. I'd say we just fit. We had to disconnect the truck. The site was picturesque but not on the river. Not much to do. There was a small play area for the kids behind the office (slide, swing, teatherball).
The good:
1. Helpful friendly staff
2. 30A/50A service and septic easy to connect to
3. Surrounded by trees
4. Laundry onsite, in a shed by the office
5. Free WiFi (see the bad where it's too slow to use)
The not so good:
1. Noisy carts. The staff use ancient gas carts that are so loud it's comical and out of place in a quiet woodsy place like that. Horrendous racket as the thing comes, then goes by leaves you wondering what are they thinking.
2. Many very long term and that thing is never moving again rigs. Almost like a trailer park with some open spaces for us stay for a night folks.
3. WiFi was so slow you could barely check eMail on it. They did say it was slow and only good for eMail on checking in. They are right. I gather it's a satellite based Internet but obviously someone is hogging most all the bandwidth as it was about useless and we were likely the only non residents there (quite a few open spaces May 3rd)
Overall it was a good nights rest and I would recommend it for anyone not interested in WiFi and just needs a place to park and feel safe. Noise is a problem but I'll take some noisy carts over feeling unsafe. It's a bit of a drive to get in there and if you have a large or long rig I would not recommend it. Just very simple, quaint little spot for hanging your hat for a night. Maybe more as it looked like during the season they have activities going on.
Oh, also, no cellular at all. But at night very quiet and peaceful.

Being there in the off season the park was dead quiet, which we loved. Most everything the previous poster said was spot on.
Almost all of those ancient rigs are owned by work-campers (from what we could tell) whom were all very friendly and looking to help. For most of our stay I think we were the only paying visitor.
They were busy getting ready for the season, so those golf carts were noisy during the day, but at night it is one of the most quiet places I have ever been.
We have a 35ft fifth wheel and it was a tight fit. Our pinbox was basically to the road and our rear bumper was at the fence at the back of the site. We parked our truck almost completely in the road, not sure how that would be in the busy season though.
The first night there we discovered the bad wifi (satellite based) and we had almost zero cell signal, totally unuseable. I even told the host we would be checking out the next day as the internet was unuseable for us (even with the cell on the booster). Miraculously the next morning I went to check my email and the cell was better and was useable. Mind you not good enough to stream video, but more then useable for email and web based work. Enough so that we stayed for a total of 9 days.
They honored our PassPort America card for the entire 9 days. At only $18.75 a night for full hook ups it wasn't bad at all, though I would have a hard time paying full price $37.50 a night for the spot.
If you drive down to the end of the road (do it in your TOAD or your TV, DO NOT go further then this RV park with a trailer or MH) you come to the ocean which is rather nice.
I gave it the high rating because of the lack of people while we were there, the friendly staff and the price.

Nice Passport America park near the Redwoods National and State Parks. Short drive down 101 to multiple parks/hikes/beaches. Friendly staff, decent sized spaces for the price. We had room for the RV and toad, each site also has picnic table and a fire ring. Make sure to bring food/drinks with you, nearest store is a 30 minute trip each way.
Cell service was non existent for AT&T. Verizon had could check email and browse internet, no streaming.
If you stay here make sure to walk/drive down to the beach, 1.5 miles each way. Went both nights before sunset and saw sea lions playing in the ocean each time. (Take a right out of the park entrance)

There are campsites to the right and left of the entrance. All the photos present the grassy more open area to the left (questionable if these have hookups). A whole lot of closely spaced and shorter gravel sites with full hookups to the right. Our 5th wheel had to be parked ~2 feet from the RV behind us... we could pass hot coffee in the morning anyway :-)
Cell coverage in this area is extremely poor everywhere. When we asked about WiFi the campground host said it hadn't worked all season. Asked if there was a landline available in the main office and told no.
Decided to move down the road to Klamath River RV Park. A much nicer setting with WiFi.

We loved our stay at Kamp Klamath. The park was clean and the staff were friendly! Our spot was conveniently located by a perfect trail to the park (which was awesome), and the hot showers! We had full hookups and spectacular views. This park also allowed our pups to run around leash free on the back 5 acres. We’d stay here again!
Just as others said service is limited, but we didn’t mind it 😊

We loved the location. About 1 mile down the road to a beach where the Klamath River ends it's journey into the pacific ocean. Easy access to US 101 to explore the multitude of hiking trails and drives throughout the redwood forest. When we arrived we were quickly checked in and escorted to our site. The site was a level dirt site with lots of room for our slides and some shade from trees. The staff of work-kampers was the best we have experienced anywhere. And there were more staff than we have seen in many larger parks. Check out the made to order breakfast burritos, fresh homemade muffins and if you are there on a Saturday night, check out the all you can eat Salmon and Chicken Barbecue. The WiFi isn't great, speeds are throttled because it is Satellite based and limited bandwidth. Realize that this is a rural area in the middle of a Native American area and thus somewhat rustic. Bring your own WiFi hotspot and you will be fine. (Although the sprint connection leaves a lot to be desired, Verizon and T-Mobile work fine without a booster.) A big shout out to the folks working there. They made our visit memorable.

The “M” spots were pretty nice. Lightly wooded and gravel pads, easy to access hookups. Lots of kids but quieted down by 10:15 or so, no road noise to speak of. Easy hike down to the river. AT&T cell service worked fine. Would stay again.
We stopped here en route to the Oregon Coast. They had several open spots for the Thursday before a big holiday weekend. The place closer to the the freeway looked fancier but more cramped so we drove the extra mile to Kamp Klamath.

We had a blast here. Very kid friendly. Playground in a large open meadow with volleyball net and horseshoes. Large cart of firewood for sale onsite for $20. Chickens and turkeys wandering through campsite. Large garden and camp staff gave us fresh lettuce which was a nice addition to our camp meals. Easy trail to the Klamath River and the ocean at the end of the road. RV sites are pretty close together but are well maintained with manicured grass, flowers, and trees. The hookups were all located at the rear of the site and well maintained. Lots of camp staff busy working to maintain the grounds and they were all incredibly friendly and helpful.
