Bunt and Helen King began the tradition of serving the best Iowa grain-fed beef available back in 1968. Their three children, Nancy Ayres, Cheryl Wilson and David King carry on today. Ye Olde Steak House racks up Best Steak House in Knoxville awards every year, but its fame extends far beyond the city limits. On any given night there may be folks from 20 states in the restaurant, feasting on porterhouse, prime rib, sirloin strip or steak burgers. Steak combinations with shrimp, flounder or swordfish are popular. David who cuts the meat by hand, believes he has the best job in Knoxville.
