Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on July 19, 2022Stayed here visiting family. Good location. There are a number of sites that can handle a Class A size rig. But call ahead to reserve if you need a larger site. Easy access. Very quiet.
Good location for the northeast side of Minneapolis.

This is one of the nicest county parks we've stayed at. We were lucky enough to get site 25, which has an amazing view of the pond. A deer ran right in front of us. We cooled off in the pool on Saturday. There was a Blood Moon on Friday night that was breathtaking. Reminder - no pets or alcohol permitted. There are 2 full hookup sites near the campground host, otherwise electric or non-electric only. We did not use the restrooms. We did not notice noise from the gun range. The yellow loop is highly recommended with easy to back-in sites. The staff is extra nice. I couldn't read my license plate when checking in, so ranger got out her binoculars. Other county park stickers are accepted here. We camped at Lake Elmo Park Reserve in a Travel Trailer.

The park is ok, just in a low lying area. It is the $7 dollars to get in the park on top of the $32 to camp with just electric just to overnight, but it was the only place on our route.

The sites were large and semi private with lots of vegetation. We got to see a Great Horned Owl with her 2 babies in the wild. This is a very large park reserve with a great trail system for hiking and biking. We had water and electric and there was a dump near by. The only negative was our pull through site had the camp side on the “wrong” side so we had to turn our rig around. Easy fix.

Stayed here 7 days. Large even sites. A fawn walked through our campsite! The swimming pond is about 4 feet deep max, sandy and clean.

Clean and private. Electric has been upgraded to 50a. Not all spots have electric so chose wisely. Bathrooms were clean. Lots of hiking trails around. Some spots are not level so bring blocks or levelers. Small playground in the campground and larger one near the swim pond. Each spot has picnic table and fire ring. Wood and ice available for purchase when checking in and wood available near host. We have a 37’ Grand Design 5th wheel and it fit fine. Need to pay county park fee in addition to nightly camping fee. Easy on/off interstate 94.

We stayed here in July 2022 for 12 days our 40' Super C. The campsites are very large with tons of privacy as there are many trees and bushes offering seclusion from each individual site. All sites have a picnic table and firepit. No pets or alcohol allowed in the campground. We appreciated how clean and quiet everything was. Lots of wildlife and the ability to hike right from the campground on numerous trails. There are several playgrounds, a manmade swimming hole, amphitheater, clean showers/bathrooms. The pull-through site we were in had 50 amp service (not all of them do) and water (not all of them do). The dump station is near the entrance to the campground as is the recycling and trash bins. The only down side is there are many low-hanging branches on the trees going through the campground loops as well as in our site that scraped across our roof and sides of our rig. That was a bummer. However, we would definitely stay here again as it was a great experience none-the-less. Woodbury and Lake Elmo are mere minutes away offering restaurants and big box stores.

Wonderful campground. Lots of biking and hiking trails, beach/swim pond, playground equipment, hot showers, large level sites, etc. Great place for families. We will definitely be back. The only “noise” was from the kids on the playground having fun….the best sound ever.

This is a great park. It has a man made swimming pond. It has a great beach and completely sand bottom. It also has a large playground. There are quite a few trails to hike on in the summer and cross country ski on in the winter. It does cost $5 entry fee per car.
