“Over 480 acres of land to explore!”
Over 480 acres of land are preserved here just north of Route 25 in Laurel. The lake, a 30-acre freshwater body formed by a glacier 10,000 years ago, is over 45 feet deep. It's a popular place for canoeing, kayaking and fishing, with a state-owned fishing access site adjacent to the town preserve. A large picnic pavilion and well-groomed nature trails are also available here. Laurel Lake Park, which is part of the preserve to the west, features an information center, two baseball fields, a playground and more picnic tables.
