“Year round camping fun”
Cedars of Lebanon State Park is named for the dense cedar forest that existed in the Biblical lands of Lebanon. The park contains 900 acres which are used for intensive recreation. An additional 8,100 acres are operated by the Parks Division as a natural area and by the Forestry Division as a State Forest. The park has 117 campsites, all with picnic tables and grills, electric and water hookups. There are 30 tent and pop-up sites available. Three bathhouses provide hot showers, lavatories and commodes. There is a campstore (open seasonally), souvenir shop, laundromat and a dumping station for self-contained camping rigs. The campground is open year-round. Maximum stay is two weeks. No primitive camping at Cedars.

Who designs these places? Very large state park but RV section cramped and unpleasant and very far from hiking trails. First off it seems like a majority of the occupants camp here full time, unoccupied rigs all over the place. Most sites are not level and ridiculously close together. My fire ring was literally under my neighbors slide out! Not 1 but 2 camp hosts for like 20 sites who did nothing as far as I could see. Just another G.O.B site. Reasonably priced laundry was nice. All the facilities have seen better days but for $20 worth a short stay.

A great place, open early in the spring, we stayed in early March.
Lots of shade from Cedars (you guess correctly). Asphalt pads, no always level, but beats mud and even gravel. Most sites have slope (not extreme) so come prepared. Laundry facilities were clean and reasonable ($1.50/load).
Lots of white tail deer and turkey in the area.

We stayed at Cedars of Lebanon for the convenience of the location to a few appointments that we had in Lebanon. We like the park for the nature and hiking trails. If you are in a small or mid sized camper you would probably find the campground acceptable. We however travel in a 35 ft fifth wheel and found the campground very tight. We had to get out and trim trees just to make the circle and get into our site. We camped in Loop 1. Loop 2 was even tighter. Loop 3 had the best looking sites but it is only 20 amp service. They offer a code for use of wifi up to 200 mb but it was only good for one device. They may have given us another code if we'd asked but the office remained closed for the remainder of our visit so we didn't get to ask. But their wifi reception was very slow anyway so it didn't matter as we found it unusable. We drove out of the park to check emails and make calls.
We can't review the bathrooms since we didn't use them. There is a laundry room with 3 washers and 3 dryers. Washers were $1.50 each and Dryers $1.00. I had no problems with them.
We would visit this park again for a day trip but most likely would not overnight there until it is more big rig friendly and has better cell coverage or wifi. We work from the road and having a cell signal or wifi is imperative.

Site 94, Camping Area 3, was recently renovated and reopened in May 2018. Water and 50-30-20 amp service. Level asphalt parking base. No neighbors, Eastern Cedar surround, pine-chip walkway to brand new bath house nearby. $24.00 per night at 25% senior discount. 3 bars 4g LTE AT&T.
On our first evening, after a long bike ride running Bob the dog, a family of turkeys came ambling through our site. They stayed for a bit and as I watched them out our dinette window I was able to snap a couple pics.
Early the first morning we took Bob the dog on a run through all three campground circles, grateful for the private site we chose, and wondering what makes people want to be so close to each other. We then rode the 2-mile Running Trail behind the Cedar Forest Lodge and found it to be a welcoming landscape through rolling fields and cedar forests. Later we parked the bikes and drove out to the half-mile Limestone Sinks Trail and walked a forest path that was really quite beautiful and rugged. We wanted to check out the little-used Cedar Circle Trail but were disappointed that the rangers have failed to keep it up and have it properly marked. We begrudgingly skedaddled. Across the road the Cedar Forest hiking trail was a wonderful 2-mile excursion up and down through rocky limestone crags with sinkholes galore. A good workout and practice with coordination and balance for when we really get old. All told the three of us rode at least three miles and hiked three. Of course, Bob the dog covered all six on fours.
The shower rooms were brand new with state of the art stainless fixtures. They were also air-conditioned and kept clean. For our evening news (and NOT Fox) the amazon firestick reception was superb and our internet connections were flawless. Cedars of Lebanon is a great state park. I think three nights would have been best so we could have hiked the five-mile Hidden Springs Trail, but two nights only must suffice as we need to continue making our way south.

Huge sites, paved in this area. New grills and fire rings. Restrooms and showers have been remodeled as well. The park does a great job of creating activities to keep kids busy during the weekends. When the camping bug strikes but time won't allow travel too far, this is where we go

We came on Halloween 2018. The office was festively decorated and the entire campground was very well maintained. Our site had water and 30amp, plus there was a dump station and multiple bath houses. Easy access and very quiet for our stay.

There are 3 campgrounds. 1 is for large pull thru sites. Close together like an RV Park with up to 50 amp and water. We stayed in 2. It is for smaller rigs with 30 amp and water. Nicely lined sights with large treated timber. Most sights are level gravel spaces with new fire rings and tables. The bath house is new and well designed. This winter they are upgrading this section to blacktop. Number 3 has been upgraded earlier this year. Everything is new and in high demand. 2 and 3 are very roomy with a lot of space between sights. There is a dump station and camp store. The park has a massive pool, disc golf course, caves to explore, nice walking trails and only 30 minutes to downtown Nashville. Can’t wait to come back next summer. They do have free WiFi.

The previous reviews here are spot on.
All of the highlights of this park are well shared.
We liked our site #103 as it stayed high and dry during the rain and is in the back corner of the loop, not too close and not too far from the bathhouse.
Our price paid includes the senior discount.
We visited this campground from 03/21/19 until 03/28/19.

Great state park with mostly water/electric sites. Three loops in the campground. We were in loop 2 but wished we’d been in loop 3. Bath house was in great shape and laundry facilities were a Bonus! It’s pretty far for visiting Nashville. With travel it’s about 45-60 min drive. There are several speed bumps that weren’t so great just to get to the campground but the roads were in ok shape otherwise.
