“serving some of the finest food in Michigan”
The Cove has been a prominent feature on the Leland River for generations of locals and visitors. Rick Wanroy, the proprietor of The Cove, acquired the restaurant in the early 80's. The details of how this transpired are sketchy, but rumors include maxed-out credit cards, a behind-the-scenes buyout, and Rick politely asking the former owner (and his former boss!) to leave his new restaurant. Whatever Rick had to do to acquire the restaurant has paid off it, as The Cove has been serving some of the finest food in Michigan ever since. The award-winning menu combines with the picturesque backdrop of the Leland River and Fishtown to create a dining experience that cannot be matched.
