“a vast wonderland of stalactites and stalagmites”

Descend 120 feet below the Earth's surface into a vast wonderland of stalactites and stalagmites. Lost World Caverns, discovered in 1942, is a truly magical place for both young and old. It takes approximately 45 minutes to walk through. We offer self-guided tours so you can take your time to explore the cavern at your own pace. Just remember to stay on the trail. A guide sheet is provided to tell you about the many different formations that make up this 1/2 mile loop. No matter what the temperature on the outside, the cave always remains a constant 52 degrees. A light jacket and good shoes are recommended.

I have never been in a cavern before so this was really a treat. I took my husband and two children, ages 3 & 5. It is pretty amazing to see the mineral/rock features formed by dripping water and an ancient underground stream. The plaques by the major features were quite informative and, by the end of the self-guided tour, my daughter was telling us the difference between a stalagmite, stalactite, and a column. It's a short tour-only 45 mins-but even my small children were able to handle the steps leading down to the cavern.

They offer additional spelunking tours that lead you even deeper into the caverns for 4.5 hrs. It seems like a very cool experience. Would love to take the kids when they get older.

There are picnic tables, horses, llamas, and goats outside the cavern. You'll also see a few of the owner's dogs.

Very cool! I loved that you get to walk through without a tour guide or a group so you don't feel like you're holding anyone up.

My boyfriend and I went on the wild cave tour and it was like something out of a movie! We had an amazing experience and the hospitality at this place is just out of this world! I would go back any day and highly recommend it! It is worth the price, trust me!

Spent a couple hours with the wife waking through the 1/2 mile loop. It was amazing, the owner/operator ways beyond knowledgeable about the area and all its artifacts. He even stayed 30 min after close just to talk to us and answer all of our questions. Will return with the kids ASAP... Very cool place
