To give an update on the comments that the wagon has/is being taken down... Good news... It is there in all its greatness as of August 2014. Kind of cheesy, but a great little photo op. Check out the nearby watermelon monument. Lots of Honest Abe stuff in this town!

To update- the wagon is in front of the American legion at the corner of 5th street near the previous location. It is here in all its beauty as of 7/29/21.

Just visited the Covered Wagon in August of 2014, and it was awesome! I know it's just a kitschy roadside attraction, but my 9-month-old loved it! We spent a good 15-20 minutes here just taking loads of pictures.

It's not in the most picturesque of settings, right next to a busy road and in front of motel, but it's so cool. I recommend going at twilight, you can get some lovely pictures then.

Just one of those stops that you have to make. I was surprised that there were other people there. He seemed pretty popular. We took our pictures and continued on.

It was hard to locate an address online so we actually missed it the first day, did some more digging, then turned back around and found it. It is directly in front of a hotel and it a fun piece of Americana.

Young kids would like it; teens, not so much.
