“a casual dining restaurant”
EMBER WOOD FIRE GRILL is a casual dining restaurant, occupying the old historic train station in the quaint village of Livonia in Livingston County, committed to a hospitality first attitude. In an era dominated by chain restaurants and fast, pre-packaged food, our mission is to bring our patrons REAL food at reasonable prices. Comfort from scratch cuisine using the best ingredients from sustainable sources, whenever possible: selections with no growth hormones, pesticides, pre-packaged, frozen or use of steam tables will be used in our kitchen. Our food is high quality and labor intensive, the same as some of the top restaurants, in the country, without the big city over head, so we can keep our prices reasonable. Ember is a nontraditional, sharing restaurant. All of our food is prepared fresh and is designed to be served when it is ready. Therefore we encourage sharing. Sharing is a very social and economical way to dine. If you are not into sharing that’s fine, too. Our style is not the traditional: “Soup, Salad, Appetizer, and then Entrée.” Our food and style are original, we designed our restaurant to be different than any other in the area. We would also like to note that we strive to be fresh, simple, and unique. If you see items on other menus and not on ours it is either overused, unsustainable, or out of season and we will not use it. We hope that you enjoy our style and understand it. The best way to use our menu is to share, “Just like at home.” At Ember you can order as much or as little as you like, you can even place multiple orders for a more social experience. Our staff has been trained to assist you with any questions you may have. If you are unable to share, our servers have been trained to do a course share which is close to traditional dinning. We will try our best to get your “Mains” or as we call it “Second Share” out at the same time. We will only try to time the New American Cuisine section… just in case we can’t, we recommend a large house salad or pizza for your table so your party has food in front of them while your fresh dinners are coming out. Use our menu any way you like, our goal is to serve you, so you can relax and have any enjoyable evening at Ember Wood Fire Grill. Our hope is that you, our customer, will enjoy the combination of stunning modern architecture and old charm: simple, good food “meant to share” from farm to plate. Our menus will changes with the seasons, our wood fire selections are cooked with real wood, our wine and micro brew selections are large and extensive. Our well trained staff will make your selection approachable and fun.
