In 1973 my Greek immigrant father, Dennis Sverkos, opened his first business, The Carriage Shop, on this very corner. He worked hard for 35 years on his favorite cars FIAT, MG, and Volvo. My brother and I had an idea of bringing a little piece of our Greek heritage to this same corner. Today you will be able to savor the same Greek flavors the Effe (Mama) has been cooking for our family for the past 40 years.
