Hudson House Bar

The Hudson House Bar is a small bar located near Long Beach Island. The crowd is mostly local, but it is certainly not hostile to travelers. Many reviewers note the quality beer selection, fun bar games, and the casual atmosphere. "The Hudson House is the definition of a true shore bar. Located in an old house with a sign that simply reads, “BAR,” the “Hud,” as locals call it, is located unsuspectingly among a row of other houses on East 13th Street in Beach Haven. Step inside, and you immediately feel as if you’re living in a simpler time. Although the age of the building is unknown, the Hudson House bar has been around since at least the early 1960s, and the feel remains the same today. The walls are lined with old beer signs and shore artifacts, and throughout the bar you’ll find a pool table, a shuffleboard table, and even a pinball machine.
