Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on February 25, 2023We called two months in advance to make reservations since we knew this little campground fills up quickly almost every single weekend during the spring, summer and fall. This little campground in located in the center of the hamlet of Long Lake. It's so small it is easy to miss. We visited during the fall when there was events happening all weekend. Upon arrival we checked in at Hoss's General Store located across the road from the campground. There are only 15 sites, but all sites have 30/50 amp, water and sewer hook-ups. Each site has a fire pit and picnic table. I tested the electric and it was steady! The campground driveway is really just a loop with the sites off that...so they are rather close.....but for the central Adirondacks to have full hook-ups for $45 a night is unheard of. We did have to level our rig from side to side, nose to tail was quite even. There is a trash bin in the middle of the loop and bathrooms near the entrance, but no showers. There is a seasonal food stand by the entrance called "The Park" that has some amazing food. A seasonal Ice Cream stand across the road. Gas and groceries are nearby as well as restaurants, a beach, hiking, paddling and other exploring. Since the park is located at a intersection, there is road noise...but only really from a few tractor trailers coming to the intersection. Long Lake usually has events throughout the summer and fall. The other campers around us were great and we even had a improvised tailgate party for the Bills game on Sunday afternoon. Overall the campground can fit large and small rigs!! I gave it a 4 stars for lacking showers and the sites being close.....but.....I would definitely go back.
