Cafe Guse

Built in 1925, the Pounder Building in Longview, WA was designed for apartment living on the upper floors and retail access on the ground level. It has survived two major fires and has been home to Guse's Gourmet Coffee for almost 21 years, continually owned by founder, Ken Guse. Longview is ideally situated between Seattle, WA and Portland, OR. It is the largest city in Cowlitz County with approximately 35,000 residents. Longview is one of two sister cities in South West Washington State, the other being Kelso. If low acidity, organic and fresh, roasted on location or fair trade values sound like your cup of coffee - You're in the right coffee shop. Our coffees are all hand roasted to their peak, releasing oils, providing low-acid, rich coffee. We have a custom made roaster in our shop, and we roast every order on request.  Family is important to us, as well as good business, we only serve fair-trade coffees from Nayarit, Mexico. Ou provider has established a line of credit for all growers, as well as paying for education and certifications to better themselves in their line of work.  If the workers are taken care of, the coffee is taken care of. If the coffee is taken care of, you'll taste the difference!
