“Breakfast food in Longview”
My Mother, Edith Klahn bought the Pancake House in February 1972 From Willard Irby. It came with the original recipes. She had not been in the restaurant business before. My father owned log trucks. That same year my Father died of Cancer. (I was 12 years old). So I grew up here and it was just her and I. She let me take over in 1993, and she helped me learn the trade ....we went non smoking in 1994 (it was a big deal back then. People said we would go broke), we didn't. In fact it increased our business because we were such a small building... In 1998 my mother was diagnosed with Lung Cancer and she died later that year. Her wonderful and giving personality was missed by so many people. To this day, Myself, my two managers, Linda and Wanda and , with the loving help of my husband Dave, run the business. (he is retired from the Car business, but occasionally you will see him busing tables and serving coffee.). I have two grown sons and I am hoping that someday they will want to take over for me and keep it in the family. I attribute our success through the years to my loyal employees who have came and gone and been with us for many years. Linda has been with us almost 39 years. She is our rock and we are blessed to have her. Many are over 20 years. Come in and get to know us. We are like family!

Never got to go in. Parking lot is ridiculously small. Had a spot and someone stole it out from under me. Decided to go somewhere else. They've lost a customer. Read more
