ChocoChicken infuses fried chicken batter with a blend of secret spices and flavors to create an explosion of sweet, spicy and savory in each bite, with that “crack factor” tm that keeps you wanting more. ChocoChicken hatched to life when producer and food enthusiast Sean Robins could not decide between chicken mole and fried chicken. Stunned that nobody had ever thought to combine the two, Sean called his friend and culinary personality Keith Previte, who developed the original chocolate fried chicken recipe. Keith and Sean were soon introduced to Adam Fleischman (Umami Burger; 800 Degrees) and Lee Weinberg of AdVantage Restaurant Partners, who quickly partnered with Sean and Keith to form ChocoChicken Group. Adam helped refine the recipes and develop the ChocoChicken concept via AdVantage, and together the group secured its first restaurant location in downtown Los Angeles. In addition to its chocolate fried chicken centerpiece, ChocoChicken also offers innovative sides, including monkey-bread biscuits (bacon and regular), white-chocolate infused mashed potatoes and house-made ChocoKetchup, Miso Ranch and Bee Sting dipping sauces. Desserts made exclusively for ChocoChicken include s’mores whoopee pies from Cake Monkey and ice cream treats from L.A. Creamery.
