“Strange items from around the world..”
MEMENTO MORI is a curator of unique items from around the world offered up at affordable prizes. Looking for a human skull? Mortician's equipment? A creepy doll? Memento Mori has all of these and more. Owner Greg Johns searches the world for the most unusual, offbeat, morbid items that he can get his hands on, and many times he tracks down items that most people wouldn't even know exist. He's turned Mememto Mori into a curiosity shop of epic proportions. Not interested in buying anything? You can also sell your selection of weird stuff to them!
This is now my favorite store in the state of Ohio. If you're looking for a supremely weird gift, this place has it. There's old circus sideshow paintings, antique medical equipment, human skulls, coffee tables made out of embalming tables, and all kinds of vintage strangeness. The owner is a super nice dude who knows his stuff and is more than willing to haggle, and his items change daily. I grabbed a pair of human fingers in a shadow box the last time I was in, and can't wait to go back.
It's worth noting the hours change depending on what the owner has going on, so it's definitely a good idea to call ahead before you make a trip out. GO! Whether you're looking to buy or just get creeped out, you won't be disappointed!
Very cool, very weird place. If you're looking for taxidermy, funeral tables, jars of eyeballs, locks of dead people's hair, retro toys, or anything generally weird/creepy/awesome/gross/collectable there's no doubt in my mind you'll find it here.
Memento Mori holds pretty erratic opening hours so your best bet is to give the guy a call before making the trip. 513 659-1081
Amazing place! I felt like I could spend days there and still not see everything. The owner is very nice, friendly and knowledgeable. I only wish it was closer to my hometown so I could visit more often.
This guy sells stolen stuff. When you see your stuff there on display he calls you a liar. 5hen he tells you if you keep saying rhe stuff is yours you can be escorted out and he will make the stuff disappear. Thats what he did to me when I found my civil war sword on display in his store.
I was a little disappointed when we went to try and check this place out. It's just inside Loveland ( which is an awesome little town may I saw ), but he doesn't open until 12, so we didn't get a chance to go in since we were just passing through. Although it did look really cool inside.
