“Mackinaw City Tradition since 1890”
Come in and treat yourself to the relaxed atmosphere of the Dixie Saloon,a Mackinaw City Tradition since 1890. Wet your whistle at the bar and enjoy a full slab of our famous Dixie BBQ Ribs or a choice cut of steak prepared from certified angus beef. The Dixie Saloon is the perfect place to stop for a break either on your way or coming back from Mackinac Island. We are located right across from Shepler's Mackinac Island Ferry, at the corner of Huron and Central.
Best atmosphere and ribs in town! Dinner and lunch are always great here.
They have a great set up for an awesome Irish pub but very little of it is actually Irish in any way. I'm kind of offended that they hung sparkling clover streamers instead of letting it look like a pub. There's country music BLARING and only three beers out of the more than twenty are somewhat Irish, while only two or three food times are Irish food items. Oh yea, and it's attached to the Dixie Saloon which completely ruins the Irish atmosphere. Not to mention the fact that you can't go straight from the Irish bar to the saloon because you have to have a hostess seat you in the saloon but not the bar. Our bartender didn't even know what any of the beers were style wise and as soon as we said we didn't want food he completely ignored us until we made him stop so we could get our ticket.
