Well we live near the ferry on the south end. Honestly if you are coming up from the south and visiting Devil's Head, Wisconsin Dells, Baraboo or Devil's Lake State Park (especially with children) you may find this to be a refreshing and somewhat unusual chance to get out of your car and stretch your legs while taking a short ten minute ferry ride across what is referred to as Lake Wisconsin which was created by the Dam built further up stream in Sauk City on the Wisconsin river. Beautiful short ferry ride!
