“Canoeing and spelunking!”
Marengo Cave is located in Marengo, Indiana. One of only four show caves in Indiana, public tours of the cave have been given since 1883. Tours commenced just days after the cave's discovery by two school children. We have canoeing trips for all skill levels from beginner to pro. Our experienced staff can recommend the best trip based on your abilities and current water levels. Nature is right here. While on your trip you may see turtles, blue heron, ducks and maybe even some hellbenders. Bring a waterproof camera and capture memories of your day on Blue River. Blue River is Indiana’s first state designated Scenic and Natural River.
Marengo Cave was awesome. It looked really cool, and the tour guide was really nice.
About 30 miles off main highway. Located outside of main (small) town center of Marengo. Not the nicest area but the cave looks nice. You cannot enter the caves unless on a tour. Minimum tour time is 40 minutes.
Great hidden jams and not crowded at all. It is a bit out-of-the-way but well worth the drive. Second tour I went on only had two other people on it! It was awesome! Definitely worth the trip.
Great fun and easy/quick 40 minute walk on the Crystal tour...even my 4 year old could walk it. I recommend sneakers if you can because it is wet down there as well as cold! So bring a sweatshirt :) also, they have free admission for active military and $2 off per family member
