Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on July 26, 2016So we went to the 'Hoop N Holler Tavern' while staying at a state park 10 miles down the road and found out that they have a full hookup RV Park-ish. According to the bartender, which I assume is the owner, they have 8 spots, 30/50 amp service, water from a well, city sewer, and cable. The price was explained as $25 for a smaller (1 AC) unit, or $35 for a larger (2 AC) unit RVs. The sites are along a tree line across the road from the tavern and approximately 100 feet from the lake, so they are kind of lake view scenic. It is a great base if you are exploring the area (Porcupine Mtn, Lake Gogebic, Agate and Bond Falls).
The Tavern itself is touted as a snowmobilers/fisherman's bar. It was pretty empty at 3:30pm on a midsummer Tuesday for us, but that's to be expected. They have 7 beer taps, your typical smallish liquor selection, food that mostly cames from frozen boxes, but very friendly. They can also sell you closed containers to take outside... or back to your RV if needed. There is a single gas pump and a dock on the lake as well.
All in all it seems to have just enough of everything to make it a legit, and sure to be good time.
