The Silver Lake Sand Dunes are the only dunes East of Utah where you are allowed to drive a private motorized vehicle from April 1st through October 31st .
Beautiful and fun.
Very fun! Definitely worth stopping here for half a day. Riding an ATV over the dunes is a must. Awesome views when sitting between Silver Lake and Lake Michigan.
The only place East of Utah where you can drive your own ORV. Or rent a sandboard. You can also just jump off the dunes too!
