The park preserves a turn-of-the-century working cattle ranch. The ranch house, outbuildings and visitor center contain displays devoted to the extraordinary careers of Arthur and Eve Bowring and ranching in the sandhills. Arthur was a state legislator, and Eve was the first Nebraska woman to enter Congress. Open Memorial Day-Labor Day, Mon-Tue & Thu-Sat, 10am-4pm; Sun, 1-4pm. Sod House Sunday is held the last Sun in June and Christmas at the Bowring is held the 1st Sun in Dec. Park permit required.
