“Once Michigan's oldest continuously running restaurant”
The White Horse Inn, which was once Michigan's oldest continuously running restaurant (162 years) until it closed in November 2012 but is scheduled to reopen in 2014. But whether its haunts will remain is uncertain. Folks say a fire here claimed the lives of several intoxicated men and one barmaid, and their moaning and screaming was often heard by guests at the establishment.
I personally love the cowboy Mac and cheese. Most of the dishes are a little pricey, but the food is always enjoyable. It's a very popular restaurant and absolutely beautiful inside; you will want to get reservations on a weekend evening. They do horse-drawn carriage rides around the village here on weekends; its quaint village with history and the whole atmosphere makes for a nice experience.
