For centuries the people of Mexico have harvested the gifts of the soil: corn, chilies, fresh vegetables and natural spices.  It is this harmony with nature that gives Mexican cooking its rich and natural flavors.  For over 25 years, the Ortiz Family, has strived to keep this tradition alive by using the finest and freshest ingredients available to prepare our authentic Mexican cuisine.  In 1991, Don Manuel and Marlen opened "El Cielito Lindo" - the first Mexican restaurant in South Beach. In 1992 they changed the name to "El Rancho Grande".  For 23 years El Rancho Grande’s doors were opened and left a memorable mark on South Beach restaurant scene.  Known for the best Mexican food, margaritas and, of course, the biggest block party for Cinco De Mayo.  In 2006, El Rancho Grande’s’ success launched a second location in the Kendall area and without hesitation; it too became a quick hit.  Offering catering, take out, live mariachis and outside seating.  A beautiful location for the whole family to enjoy.   2012 was the year of change, where El Rancho Grande South Beach closed for a short time and relocated to Sunset Harbour with a bigger and better concept of great food and outstanding service.  "Tequiztlan Tequileria and Cocina Mexicana" by El Rancho Grande, opened its doors on May 20, 2013.  Featuring a modern display of color, unique ceramic tables and a delicate décor, Tequiztlan is truly a one of a kind space. We are known for a leading variety of tequilas and mezcales - where one of the concepts we specialize in is the art of tequila and meal pairing.   Opened for over two years and taking great pride in our food and service, we invite you amigos - old and new - to sit back, relax and enjoy your dining experience for we guarantee it will be a memorable one!
