“A comfortable place to gather and share local and craft beers and pizza.”
Harry’s Pizzeria is The Genuine Hospitality Group's third restaurant, a casual neighborhood joint opened in September 2011 and named after chef/owner Michael Schwartz's son Harry. Harry’s is a comfortable place to gather and share local and craft beers on draught, house-made snacks, salads, and specials featuring seasonal ingredients, and Schwartz’s signature thin-crust pizzas cooked in the restaurant’s wood-burning oven. Bright and airy, with street-facing floor to ceiling windows draped in blinds, the restaurant basks under the golden glow of gelled industrial florescent lamps and features a modern rustic interior of woods, leather, rattan, white marble, and metal. A visual focal point of the space is Friend’s With You’s Ingredient Wall installation, stretching behind the counter to the pizza oven. The bathroom blackboard is for guests to get creative. Our menu is anchored by 10 hand-formed pizzas and daily specials using dough made in-house daily with double zero and wheat flours, our beers on tap, local honey, and extra-virgin olive oil. From there, it’s divided into Snacks, Salads, Daily Dinner Specials, Pizza, Beer, Wine, Panther Coffee, Soft Drinks, Dessert, and a Brunch on Sundays with chef de cuisine Manny Sulbaran, a Michael’s Genuine veteran in the kitchen. To start, snacks include Marinated Olives, Meatballs in Sauce made from house-ground beef, pork and veal, Polenta Fries with spicy ketchup, Homemade Organic Ricotta, Daily Soup, and Homemade Foccacia. Fresh and colorful salads built around locally-sourced ingredients follow, like Escarole with lemon, anchovy & breadcrumbs, Arugula with roasted local vegetables & shaved Trugole, Heirloom Tomato & Mozzarella, Orange & Radish with green olive, shaved fennel, arugula & piave vecchio, and Watermelon & Stracciatella with green olive, red onion, herbs, pistachio with honey vinaigrette. Harry’s section of Daily Dinner Specials focus on family-style portions of a new, simply-prepared protein every weekday evening, from Monday’s Wood Oven Roasted ½ Poulet Rouge Chicken with Salsa Verde and Fennel Slaw to Friday’s fresh Wood Oven Roasted Local Fish with tomato, fennel, fingerling potato, lemon, onion & white wine stew. Hedy Goldsmith’s desserts bring a sweet finish with Daily Biscotti, Chocolate Chunk Cookie, Panna Cotta in ever-changing flavors, and traditional Zeppole, made from pizza dough proofed until light and fluffy, and fried into pillowy rounds dusted with powdered sugar and served with honey-whipped homemade organic ricotta. Sunday’s brunch specials are served from 11am to 4pm and include savory items including Osso Bucco Crespelle with ricotta and mint, Crispy Pancetta Risotto with arrabiata sauce and a poached egg, a Seasonal Vegetable Frittata, and such Hedy Goldsmith sweets as a Banana & Dulce de Leche Panini served with hazelnut praline. To complement Harry’s bottled craft beer and rotating tap brews the likes of Michael’s Genuine Home Brew American Ale (Gadsden, AL,) Tequesta (FL) Brewery’s Der Chancellor Kolsch, and Cigar City Brewing’s Jai Alai IPA (Tampa, FL,) including a flight to sample all four on-tap, The Genuine Hospitality Group wine director Eric Larkee has a selection of old world wines by the glass, carafe, and bottle. Drinks include Homemade Lemonade and sodas, Steven Smith Teamaker teas, and a coffee program from local micro-roaster Panther Coffee in Wynwood.
I docked a star because their website & their door state they open at 4pm when in fact the employee told me they open at 4:30pm. Despite the inconvenience, the food was great, the wine was cold,... Read more

Michael Schwartz's pizza-centric spot down the street from his flagship restaurant offers modern thin-crust pies ($12 to $16)—cooked in a wood-burning oven—that include decidedly nontraditional toppings like rock shrimp, pork and fig, short rib and fennel. Pair your slice with a Genuine Home Brew. Read more
