“a zoo located inside a high school!”
Did you know that the Trevor Zoo is one-of-a-kind? It is, in fact, the only zoo in this country that is located at a high school. The zoo was established in 1936 at Millbrook School, a coeducational independent high school in Millbrook, New York. Its founder, Frank Trevor, was Millbrook School’s first biology teacher and a man with a passion for sharing his love of wildlife with all people, especially children.
Cute little zoo! It's a great place to spend the afternoon with family, especially if you have kids. There were some unusual animals here that you won't be able to recognize in some other zoos because here they let people get up close with unusual animals like lemurs. The zoo also allows the hands on experience with the animals. Make sure to bring your own snack once you visit here because there's no food stand/store inside.
