“Modeled after an English pub!”
We started working on George and the Dragon in the summer of 2011. Driven by our desire to work with people we enjoy in a laid back yet professional environment while creating fabulous food, we left our long term jobs in the restaurant industry to set out on our own George and the Dragon is modeled after an English pub or public house. Back in the day, the pub was more than a place to get a beer. It was also a gathering place for the community, a place for a traveler to get a room for the night, and of course the place to enjoy a delicious home cooked meal whether you were a guest passing through town or a local treating yourself to a night out. It is our hope that George and the Dragon will grow to be such a gathering place in the hearts of the people in our community.
