“Art meets putt putt golf”
Big Stone Mini Golf is only a forty minute drive west of the Twin Cities yet it is one of the biggest hidden gems of the area. Located on artist Bruce Stillman's farm and home is a 13 hole mini golf course that is challenging and a work of art. Each hole is designed by Bruce and is each an entirely different experience. Put about in the overturned boat with resin "stained glass" portholes, get a hole in one through a tree trunk, watch your ball makes lazy circles in a giant metal saucer, and admire as your ball gently rolls down a small river etched in stone. Not only is there mini golf but also a giant sculpture garden filled with kinetic sculptures by Bruce and many other works by various artists. Wander the property and get to know the many animals including the incredibly friendly Floyd the pig. Stop and be entertained by the goofy goats and on your way out, make sure to stop by the clubhouse to see if they have any fresh, organic eggs for sale. Big Stone Mini Golf is worth the drive and offers so much more than your average put put attraction. Bring a picnic and enjoy the day at Big Stone.
